Darhl Laverne Goldinger

Darhl Laverne Goldinger 72 of Apollo passed away Monday December 11, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa. He was born Wednesday January 10, 1945 in Manorville the son of the late Floyd and Eva Bonner Goldinger. Darhl worked at Allegheny Ludlum in West Leechburg for 32 years. He was a part time police officer with different municipalities in Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties. For the last ten years he was a Police Officer for Kiski Twp. Darhl was a member of the North Apollo Church of God, a member of the Kiski Twp. VFD, past member of the Manor Twp. VFD, the Masonic Lodge of Apollo # 437, where he was a Past Grand Master, and very active in the Ford City Little League in his younger years. He enjoyed bon fires, camping, helping his neighbors, and spending time with his grandchildren, but his true passion was his Police work and mentoring children. He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Carole Joy Selagyi  Goldinger, two sons; Craig Allen Goldinger and his wife Beth of Kittanning, and Douglas Ray Goldinger and his wife Barbara also of Kittanning, six grandchildren; Brandon, Brittany, Patricia, Katelyn, Megan and Emily, and five brothers; John Goldinger of Alabama, Norman “Butch” Goldinger and his wife Terri of Cadogan, Charlie Goldinger of West Kittanning, his twin, Dale Goldinger and his wife Sharon of Clinton, and Leslie Goldinger and his wife Linda of Carlisle. Family will receive friends on Thursday December 14, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa.  Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 P.M. in the North Apollo Church of God, with Pastors Robert Shallenberger and Lee Rupert officiating. Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery in Apollo, and will be private. Family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Apollo Ridge Area Food Bank Inc., 1268 Old State Road, Apollo, Pa. 15613, or the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
