Christina “Tina” C Filippini

Christina C. “Tina” Filippini 90 of Kiski Twp. passed away Thursday December 14, 2017 at West Haven Manor in Washington Twp. She was born February 12, 1927 in the Maysville section of Kiski Twp. (Armstrong County) the daughter of the late Emilio and Mary Gais Filippini. She graduated from Elders Ridge High School in 1944 and worked there as a secretary for two years. She also worked at R & P Coal Company in Indiana and at Westinghouse Electric Company in Blairsville for thirty five years before her retirement. “Tina” enjoyed traveling, reading, and doing puzzles. She was a member of the Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore, the Westinghouse Veterans Association, in Blairsville, the Avonmore Senior Center, and the Fannie Sellins Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother’s John Filippini and Michael Filippini and wife Betty, Sister Pauline and husband Guido Barbieri.  Surviving are nephews, Michael L. (Dianna) Filippini and Mark K. Filippini of Kiski Twp. nieces, Barbara L. Marsik of Parma, Ohio, Debra (Richard) Laurenti of Florida, Susan (Jeffrey) Ukish, Tina (Brian) Martin, and Monica (David) Bottali all of Kiski Twp.  13 Great-Nieces and Nephews and numerous Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.  Family will receive friends on Friday, December 15th, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD. 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 16th at 9:30am in Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore.  Father John Harrold will be celebrant.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Avonmore.
