Catherine Ann (Airhart) Petika

Catherine Ann Airhart Petika 74 of Avonmore passed away Tuesday May 16, 2017 at UPMC East in Monroeville. She was born November 14, 1942 in Duquesne, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Francis and Helen Marie Ramsey Airhart. Catherine was a member of the Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore. She loved to cook, bake, and keep her home beautiful. She put family first and enjoyed time spent with them. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of fifty-one years, Matthew Joseph Petika. Three sons; Matthew Petika and his wife Penny of Murrysville, Mark Petika and his wife Nikki of Avonmore, and Joshua Petika and his wife Maria of Lower Burrell, eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, a sister Sally Vasko of Oakmont and a brother Glenn Airhart and his wife June of Plum Borough. Family will receive friends on Thursday May 18, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 19, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore. Father Salvatore Lamendola will be celebrant. Interment will be held in Westview Cemetery, Avonmore.
