Betty Jane (Hoover) Maskrey

Betty Jane Hoover Maskrey, 86, of Apollo (Washington Twp.), passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Cabot, Pa.  She was born Saturday, December 27, 1930 in Grampian, Pa. the daughter of the late Ward B. and Mary H. Maurey Hoover. Before her retirement, she was a bank teller for Apollo Trust for over 15 years. She was a member of Forks Zion Lutheran Church and was active in the church choir. Betty enjoyed knitting, reading, playing cards, camping, traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ralph K. Maskrey, a son, Gregory L. Maskrey and his wife Deborah of Gilbertsville, Pa., a daughter, Pamela S. Eckman and her husband Kevin Sr. of North Apollo, 2 brothers, Richard Hoover of Apollo and Kenneth Hoover and his wife Karen of Vandergrift, a sister, Shirley Stephenson of Waynesboro, 3 grandchildren, Kevin G. Eckman Jr. and his wife Anna Marie of Kiski Twp., Bradley D. Eckman and his wife Sara of Apollo, and Christopher A. Maskrey and his wife Kelly of Trappe, Pa., 2 great grandchildren, Savannah and Olivia.  The family will receive friends Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd., 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa. from 5pm to 8pm. An additional viewing will take place on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 10am until time of service at 11am in the funeral home.  Her grandson, Kevin G. Eckman will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, Pa.
